Overview And Experience
Odette Uwineza holds a Master of Business Law Degree (with Distinction) and Bachelor of Law Degree from the National University of Rwanda and a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Institute of Legal Practice and Development. She has been an Academic with the University of Rwanda School of Law since 2005, Trainer of legal professionals (Judges, Advocates and Prosecutors, etc.) at the Institute of Legal Practice and Development. Odette has extensively published on Rwandan law of family, securities, property and child protection. She served as the Head of Department at the University of Rwanda, School of Law and Deputy Coordinator of the Centre of Legal Aid and Mediation of the University of Rwanda. She has been a member of the Board of Directors of the University of Technology and Arts of Byumba for nine (9) years. She has been an Advocate, member of the Rwanda Bar Association and East African Law Society since 2009 who has advised corporations, international and national non-governmental organizations, and government institutions, and individuals. Her practice areas are family law, matrimonial regimes, donations and successions, property law, securities law, child protection, and business law.
